Owner Points - Dog Points
Winning competitions not only awards your dog a ribbon, but will accumulate points.

Dogs earn points and do not ever "lose" them. These points affect breeding and competing.
*These bonus puppies are added regardless of the chance dice roll that determines the size of the litter, but litter size is still somewhat random.
Since breeding involves two dogs, their combined points are what determines puppy bonuses, and the maximum benefit is still 30 points total.
Breeding is also affected by puppy quality, which is harder to measure so precisely. This means that rarer aspects of the parents pass more easily to more of the litter.
At 30 points, your dog earns the title of Champion with a special Champ Banner added to their cert, displaying their full Show Name. They can still earn points for as long as you show them, but they receive no additional benefits.
All points earned by dogs go into a separate owner points account, and it is those points that are "lost" when cashed in for items or new dogs. Even dogs who have "maxed" at the Champion level of 30 points can continue to earn you points.
For example, your dogs place First, Second, and Third in a competition. Your dogs each earn 3, 2, and 1 point respectively that they keep, and you earn 6 points that you can spend.
