Kesu was kidnapped and impregnated, the reasoning behind it never quite figured out why. Kesu believes it has something to do with improving upon the already extreme magic the Onyx possess to create a sort of new weapon. Levi was the result, and Kesu protects him fiercely from anyone who might want to take their weapon back.

Levi is stoic and mostly expressionless, emotions impassible. He easily draws energy off those around him, usually without their noticing. He also stores this energy extremely well and in great amounts. Onyx magic is diverse and powerful, and Levi has shown hints that he possesses at least a great portion of this, as well as the magic of his mother. He trains heavily, determined not to leave his family for anything, and to protect them, even if he has to protect them from himself. He is fiercely loyal to those he considers close to him, and this is second only to his loyalty to Kesu.
