Upon the surface of Makai, youkai are the most populous. The youkai territories span the largest area and thus the fire demons rule this realm. For ages the Dragon Clan ruled Makai without question, ruling justly and following a warrior code. Just south of Saitennin lies the royal palace, the capital so to speak of Makai. With the rise of the Shadow and the war, however, the royal Dragons were forced to flee and now the Palace sits unused, nearly in ruins, its throne waiting for the return of the lost Dragon Prince.
