The Betta type ~Air~Fish~ are graceful creatures who move slowly and take pride in being pretty, especially the males.

Male Betta types have long flowing fins in beautiful colors, much like real bettas. Also like real Bettas, the males are fiercely aggressive toward other male Betta types.

Females tend to be more drab and smaller than the males, but some of them are just as colorful. And almost all of them are just as vain.

All Betta types are inherently self-centered, and they are much too involved in themselves to breed for life.

As Betta types are extremely fickle, the number of special genetics passed on to the offspring depends on the quality and comfort of the spawning location.

Betta types can be bred to other types, and may turn out as either type, or something completely new.
